Charles Fréger | Monaco | Filmed Portraits
The Monaco Cultural Affairs Department has collaborated with artist @charlesfreger on an exhibition of filmed portraits, featuring different groups that make up the cultural identity of Monaco. Amongst the groups included are construction workers behind Mareterra, filmed on site.
The project, curated by Björn Dahlström, came to life during the pandemic, when social distancing has become the norm. For this reason, the artist chose to feature moving images of each group, in order to create greater proximity between the people featured in the films and the audience.
